The Wedding Ceremony at Rackleys Barn
The ceremony at Rackleys Barn is always one of my favourite parts of the day. The light in the barn, the hush that falls over the room when the doors open, the way everyone turns — it's electric every single time. I position myself quietly and stay out of the way, so you and your guests can be completely present while I capture everything.
The ring exchange at Rackleys Barn is a moment I always prepare for carefully. Depending on the season and time of day, the light in the barn can be absolutely extraordinary — soft, warm, and completely natural. I've photographed ring exchanges here that I'm genuinely proud of.
After the ceremony, the grounds at Rackleys Barn come into their own. The confetti, the laughter, the guests spilling out into the Chiltern Hills sunshine — it's chaotic and joyful and I love every second of it.
The Reception at Rackleys Barn
The speeches at Rackleys Barn are always a highlight. There's something about the barn's acoustics and atmosphere that makes people rise to the occasion — I've heard some genuinely brilliant speeches in that room. And the reactions on people's faces are always worth photographing.
Children always have a wonderful time at Rackleys Barn weddings. The outdoor space gives them room to run, and the photographs of kids just being kids — completely unselfconscious and full of energy — are often some of the most joyful in the whole album.
